Tom Hanks-2-1024x767Thomas Jeffrey Hanks was born July 9 1956. He is an American actor film maker, director, and actor. He is known for his dramatic and comedic role, he is one of the most loved and well-known film stars in the world and is widely regarded as an American cultural icon. Thomas Jeffrey Hanks was a Concord, California native to Janet Marylyn Hanks, a hospital worker and Amos Mefford Hanks an itinerant cook. His mother's clan, called "Fraga" and was 100% Portuguese, while his father was mostly of English origins. Tom was born into a family he calls "fractured". He did not have any experience in acting in college, and attributes his inability get a role in a college production with starting his career. He went downtown, and auditioned for a community production of a theater, and was then requested by the director of the play to attend Cleveland where his acting career was born.
