Kat Dennings was born on June 13, 1986 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania and was named Katherine Victoria Litwack. Ellen was Ellen's mother. The actress was a speech-therapist and poet. Gerald, her father was a professor, as well as molecular pharmacist. Dennings is the youngest of five kids and was raised up in a Jewish household. Dennings was educated at home and only short time in traditional school. When she started acting at the age of nine, she discovered it was a good idea to homeschool as a method. When she was just nine years old, she began acting in television commercials. She moved from Los Angeles with her family after graduating from high school, to study acting. The actress began her auditions under the name Kat Dennings. Kat Dennings' acting debut came after having moved to LA when she appeared in HBO's "Sex and the City" in 2000. Then, she starred in WB's sitcom "Sex and the City".
